This is a full day tour to the beautiful capital of the Cyclades, Syros Island.

In the morning, we'll catch the early boat for Syros, just 45 minute's from Tinos Island.
The tour starts in the city of Ermoupolis with a walk through the town, passing by some of the most beautiful neoclassical buildings, and ending at the elegant Town Hall, with its large square landscaped with palm trees. Next is a walk to the Church of St. Nikolaos, with its green marble iconostasis (carved by the famous 19th Century Tinion sculptor, Vitalis), and a visit to the nearby Apollon Theater to view the restoration of this 19th Century replica of Milan’s LaScala.
We’ll meet the coach and transfer up the hill to the entrance to Ano Syros, the 13th Century Venetian enclave, then proceed down the steps of the town through a maze of lanes, past remnants of castle walls and beautiful stone archways, with a visit along the way to the medieval Monastery of the Capuchins. The coach will be waiting at the bottom of the hill, and we’ll begin a tour of the interior and coastal regions of the island.
There will be a stop at the convent of St. Barbara and an opportunity to purchase some of the handmade textiles for which this monastery is well known. The drive through the interior will pass through farmlands and greenhouses (where some of the best tomatoes in the Cyclades are grown).
Our lunch and swimming stop will be at either Galissas Beach or at the small fishing village of Kini.
After returning back to Ermoupolis, there will be some time for shopping and further exploring this incredible city.
